My Mission
Dr. Kaplan’s practice is devoted to the assessment and treatment of psychiatric problems affecting children, adolescents and adults. In addition to expertise in psychopharmacology, Dr. Kaplan provides individual psychotherapy. He works with families as a unit and provides counseling to parents about how best to manage their child’s psychiatric problem.
Dr. Kaplan is a well respected forensic psychiatrist who specializes in child-adolescent problems, which interface with the court system. Dr. Kaplan has been relied upon as the court appointed expert in addressing a wide array of forensic issues affecting children and adolescents including matters of divorce, custody, substance abuse, aggression and delinquency. Dr. Kaplan has evaluated and testified as an expert in cases involving Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in civil lawsuits litigation.
Dr. Kaplan is a member of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, The American Psychiatric Association, The American Medical Association and the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law.
